The children have a great passion for learning in spite of the lack of encouragement from their illiterate parents and one baby arrived to the delight of her mum in spite of attempts to have her aborted.

Missions : Ruth Larwill brings hope for Child Prostitutes in Cambodia

There are around 40,000 prostitutues in Cambodia and most are children. Thankfully there are quite a number of groups operating to rescue these girls and give them a new start. This is our first newsletter from Ruth Larwill who with her Husband Murray is just starting up a group called Blooms.

Missions : The Phnom Penh Dump has been moved

Moving a dump further away from a residential area is usually good news unless the dump itself has residents who are now forced to find alternative forms of income or pay nearly a day's 'wages' to get to work.

The Economic crisis has hit Cambodia very badly and the people of the Phnom Penh dump struggle to survive in the poverty, filth and darkness of a world that does not care.
